Getting Great Shots For Candid Pages

Fill the frame with face! This is one of the most important tips your yearbook representative will give you when discussing photography for the yearbook. A yearbook is about the people, so don't stnad twenty feet away from your subjects. Get up close, capture those smiles ( and sometimes frown) for eternity.

Try and catch your subject off guard, avoid posed shots. Have your camera ready at all times. Catch people as they enter the school and as they leave. These are some of the best ways to make sure everyone gets in the book.

This is always something I find myself forgetting to do!  I swear, I've been brainwashed into thinking that one person standing in the middle at a comfortable distance is how you should take a picture, after taking yearbook I realized how wrong I was!
